Service Charge Accounts (Commercial Property Accounts)

Clifton Gray is working with a well-established and highly successful commercial property firm in the North West who have an exceptional reputation in the market within Property and Asset Management. A rare opportunity to join this successful team in Service Charge Accounts within the Property Management team has become available. The focus in Service Charge Accounts is to be responsible for reconciling a portfolio of property service charge year ends in line with the RICS Service Charge Code of Practice and dealing with property transitions in/out of the firm. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with previous experience working within a commercial property accounts department, and in particular service charge accounts, who is looking for the next step in their career. You will take a senior position within the team and responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing queries from surveyors and client accountants.
• In depth examination of year end accounts with adjustments as necessary, including but not limited to prepayments, accruals.
• Service charge reconciliations.
• Cash reconciliations
• Ground rent reconciliations
• Managing queries
• Budgeting and forecasts
• Journal Posting
• Month end reporting
• Bank reconciliations

  As the successful senior service charge accounts you will be/have

• Prior experience of working within a similar function within Commercial Property
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience of working with a property management system (Tramps, Yardi, etc)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Part ACCA/AAT qualified, or studying towards an Accounting Qualification would be preferred but not essential
