Support Worker – Mental Health
Near Hatfield | Full Time | Days or Nights Available
Salary up to £31,700 per year
We are looking for caring, positive, and motivated Support Workers to join our small assisted living service near Hatfield, supporting young adults and adults with mental health conditions.
This is a rewarding role focused on promoting independence, wellbeing, and community engagement. No personal care is required.
The Role
- Supporting individuals in their everyday lives
- Encouraging independence and life skills
- Supporting with outings, appointments, and social activities
- Promoting positive mental health and wellbeing
- Building trusted relationships and acting as a positive role model
- Supporting individuals who may occasionally display behaviours that challenge
What We’re Looking For
- Passionate about helping others achieve their goals
- Positive, patient, and resilient
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Able to work as part of a team and independently
Previous experience in mental health, supported living, care, or social care settings is desirable. However, we also welcome candidates with strong personal experience supporting a family member or loved one with a mental health condition.
This experience may have involved providing emotional support, encouraging treatment engagement, attending appointments, monitoring wellbeing, and helping someone maintain stability and independence. These valuable experiences often develop the compassion, resilience, and person-centred approach needed to succeed in this role.
