Start Date: Immediate Effect

Location: Islington, London

Setting: Mainstream Primary School

Pay rate: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Working hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (Term time only)

Active Recruitment are working with an outstanding Mainstream Primary School in Islington, London who are currently looking for Child SEN Care Assistants to provide targeted support to students aged 3-7 with mild to moderate learning needs. They are seeking to recruit energetic Child SEN Care Assistants to join their dedicated team. You will need to be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and committed to providing them with the best educational support possible.

The successful Child SEN Care Assistant must:

• Have recent experience within a similar role.
• Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
• Be able to modify approach depending on pupils individual needs
• Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
• Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

Key responsibilities for your role:

• Working with specific individuals aged 11-17 that require extra help and target support, depending on their needs
• Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
• Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
• Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil’s needs.
