Learning Support Assistants – No Experience Needed

About the Job

Learning Support Assistants to work with children with learning difficulties.

Active Recruitment are working with a number of mainstream schools throughout Epping Forest, Harlow and Stanstead who require LSA’s to provide specialist support to students with Autism, ASD, ADHD and other additional learning needs. The work will take place in mainstream Primary and Secondary schools.

Although no previous experience or qualifications are needed, the successful candidate will have a passion for working with challenging pupils and those who require additional help in the classroom and around the school.

Requirements

They are looking to appoint LSA’s to join them on long-term, temp-to-perm contracts.

The school welcomes applications from those candidates who have a real empathy of working with pupils with learning difficulties and have a high ambition to really make a difference to these young people’s lives.

Any additional training in the following areas are welcome but not essential.

• PECS
• Makaton
• Epi Pen Trained
• Epilepsy training
• Personal Care or Personal Experience
• A Background in Health & Social Care

The students will be between the ages of 5-19 and have a range of additional learning needs including behaviour, Autism, ASD, ADHD, non-verbal requirements and some elements of personal care may be needed.
