Senior/Associate Rating Surveyor

Dove & Hawk are supporting a private Surveying Practice based in the City of London who are searching for a Senior/Associate Level Ratings Surveyor. With a large and varied portfolio of commercial property to work with; the work is there for an experienced professional to come straight into in order to begin billing. There is very little business development expected within the role due to the work already available but freedom to bring on new clients is not discouraged. This role will suit someone who wants to work with freedom to work independently but without micromanagement.

Duties/Functions of the role:

• Analysis of rental and assessment evidence and undertaking business rates valuations.
• Conducting Property Inspections, visiting and measuring a diverse range of sites (mechanical, retail and industrial).
• Conduction Rating Valuations, covering a number of methods due to a diverse client base.
• Business Rates Mitigation, exploring rate savings opportunities for clients through rate reliefs.
• Client Management and Reporting – client meetings, portfolio management, report writing, budgeting advice, and savings/refund management.

Requirements of the role:

• MRICS qualification.
• At least 1 years’ PQE experience in the field of Business Rates.
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
• A track record of working with a variety of clients within ratings.
• The ability to to operate as part of a small team and as an individual.
• Strong IT Skills – Microsoft Office, Riverlake Software, Analyse etc would be beneficial.

Salary Budgets: £50-70,000 Basic Salary – dependant on level and experience, PLUS Bonus and Benefits

Required working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm – 2 days WFH per week
