Overview

Atkins Search are recruiting for an experienced M&E Cost Manager to join our client, who are a leading Construction Consultancy based in Cambridge.

They have a successful track record in winning multi-million-pound commissions with desirable clients in the commercial, industrial, mixed-use developments, defence, infrastructure, rail, utilities, and power industry sectors.

Role

As M&E Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing a varied workload, client facing meetings, collaborating with multi-disciplined teams and end-to-end project delivery.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Manage the delivery of MEP quantity surveying and cost consultancy services.
Lead the production of MEP cost estimates and cost plans.
Coordinate the tender process, reviewing and analysing MEP tender returns, and advising on recommendations.
Monitor the status of MEP packages within projects and prepare financial reports.
Work closely with the project lead to ensure the MEP package stays within budget from design to completion.
Complete full post-contract duties, including establishing variation effects, valuing MEP packages, and negotiating final accounts.
Foster strong relationships with clients and support junior team members in delivering our cost management service effectively.
Person

The successful candidate for the M&E Cost Manager will be aligned with the above job description as well as:

Degree in Quantity Surveying, mechanical and/or electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record as a M&E Cost Manager in a Consultancy environment – ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Fantastic communication skills face to face
Professional, collaborative, team focused mindset
Experience autonomously delivering projects
Ability to manage own workload
