£550 per day Umbrella

Salt Recruitment is working with a South West London Local Authority to recruit an experienced Interim IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager to lead the delivery and support of critical IT infrastructure and operational services.
This is a hands on leadership role requiring an experienced manager who can oversee technical teams, maintain service stability and drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, cloud and end user services.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a multidisciplinary IT Operations team covering infrastructure, networks, end user computing and telephony services.
Ensure the availability, performance and security of critical IT services.
Manage and support cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
Oversee infrastructure technologies including Windows 11, firewalls, DNS, networking and Microsoft Teams telephony.
Drive service improvements and implement operational best practice.
Monitor service performance and ensure effective incident and problem management.
Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to support business objectives.
Manage third party suppliers and service providers.
Ensure compliance with security, governance and operational standards. Essential Experience Proven experience managing IT Infrastructure and Operations teams.
Strong technical background across cloud, networking and end user computing.
Experience supporting Azure and AWS environments.
Knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Teams Telephony, DNS and firewall technologies.
Experience managing service delivery within complex environments.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced operational environment. Desirable Experience Local Government experience.
Public Sector experience.
ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience. Contract Details £550 per day Umbrella
