About the role

MJ Health is currently seeking an experienced Permanent Veterinary Surgeon for our well-established client in Southampton, Hampshire 

 

Overview:
Salary: Competitive – DOE, with quarterly recognition payments and excellent benefits
Animal type: Small Animal
Shifts: Flexible within opening hours
Full time/Part time: Full Time preferred
Out of hours: No
Weekends: Some weekend cover on a rota
Sole charge: Occasional
Team Size: Friendly, collaborative team including Vets, RVNs, and support staff
Equipment/facilities available: Modern, purpose-built practice with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities

Other Info:

Minimum 3 years’ experience required, with at least 1 year in UK practice

Strong emphasis on early diagnostics, continuity of care, and preventive healthcare

CPD actively encouraged and funded, including internal leadership training

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver excellence in clinical care and customer service

Conduct consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries in a supportive environment

Promote pet wellbeing and case continuity

Work collaboratively within a close-knit team

Uphold exceptional clinical and professional standards

Maintain accurate clinical notes and follow internal protocols

Participate in continuous development and support colleagues when required
