Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant | DN40

Provide Education is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a temporary, long-term opportunity at a secondary school in the DN40 area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting young people and helping them succeed in the classroom. The ideal candidate must be flexible as they will be supporting across Y7 – Y11 with varying needs between students.

• Someone who is flexible in working arrangements i.e. working with Y7 – Y11 and varied needs.
• A patient and approachable manner.
• Confidence supporting students with different learning needs and abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping students make progress.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Support students with their learning across a range of secondary school subjects.
• Work alongside teachers to help deliver classroom activities.
• Provide additional guidance to students who need extra support.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation in lessons.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and productive learning environment.
• Adapt support to meet individual student needs.
