BSNI Have an excellent opportunity for our manufacturing client based in Banbridge for a chef.

Hours: Day shift

Rate of pay: £15 – £16 DOE

Job duties :

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production schedules.
• Ensure food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
• Portion and package ready meals accurately.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient ordering.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/work area.
• Minimize food waste and support efficient production processes.
• Work with the production team to meet daily output targets.

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience as a chef, cook, or food production operative.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
• Understanding of portion control and quality standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable or required depending on employer).
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling tasks.
