House Keeping Assistant

Key responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this role will be providing general cleaning around the home, cleaning all areas including lounges, dining rooms, corridors, toilets, bathrooms, and individual bedrooms.
• You will also be required to carry out laundry tasks including stripping and making beds, sorting laundry appropriately to wash, iron using hand or the rotary iron and sewing in name labels, and minor repairs to clothing and bedding.
• Daily, at meal and snack times, you will assist in preparation, undertake cleaning of the dining room and server area and wash dishes, equipment and load the dishwasher.

What we need from you:

• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is required.
• Experience in general domestic duties.
• Awareness around Health & Safety, including moving and handling.
• To help safeguarding individuals you will be able to demonstrate taking responsibility to report situations that involving vulnerable adults.

What you need to know:

• You will be willing to work on a two-week rota which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Your shift pattern could be either 8.00 am – 3.00 pm or 4.00 pm – 9.00 pm.
• Your uniform and equipment will be provided.
• This work is on an ad-hoc, short notice basis.
