MRICS General Practice Surveyor (CPO/Valuation)

A rare opportunity has become available for an MRICS Valuation Surveyor looking to utilise their existing experience into a distinctive area of General Practice surveying. A well established and highly regarded practice in the North West is currently looking to recruit an MRICS Surveyor into the Compulsory Purchase team. Although Compulsory Purchase experience would be ideal, they are also open to MRICS Surveyors with a Valuation background, so could be an ideal opportunity for such a surveyor wanting to diversify into another area. Working as part of the busy CPO team, you will be responsible for providing clear compulsory purchase advice, advising on the process, the compensation code, and suitable mitigation measures. Being responsible for compulsory purchase projects from conception, you will keep all parties involved (acquiring authorities, developers, and claimants) informed of the process, procedures, and timescales. You will assess and agree compensation claims and co-operate with other departments to ensure the best outcome possible for the client. As previously mentioned, CPO experience is beneficial but not essential for this position. What is essential however is a real interest and knowledge in the area of compulsory purchase, coupled with the ability to learn quickly.  As an MRICS/FRICS Valuation Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer you will be a good communicator, someone who can build rapport and undertake negotiations. You will be able to think outside the box when it comes to problem solving and will have strong attention to detail. With a passion for property, and a desire to specialise in Compulsory Purchase you will relish the opportunity to be able to concentrate in this particular area. The salary and package on offer is negotiable depending on the individuals previous experience.
