Nicola York Recruitment is exclusively working in partnership with an established and successful SME business based in Royal Wootton Bassett to recruit a Part-Time Accounts & Payroll Officer.

This is a great opportunity for someone with broad accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, weekly and monthly payroll processing, and the preparation and submission of VAT returns. The role offers consistent part-time hours, a supportive working environment and the opportunity to take on additional responsibility over time.

About the Job:

• General accounts administration
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger duties
• Processing invoices and payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Payroll administration, including weekly and monthly payroll processing
• Supplier and customer account queries
• Credit control
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Supporting month-end processes
• Liaising with internal teams and external contacts

Benefits:

• £26,000 to £28,000 actual salary, depending on experience
• FTE equivalent approximately £41,000 to £45,000
• 25 hours per week, with potential to increase to 30 hours
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 2:00pm
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata

About You:

• Previous payroll experience is essential
• AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent
• Previous experience of using Sage is essential
• Strong all-round accounts experience
• Confident working across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, VAT and general finance administration
