Head of FP&A – igaming

One of our growing igaming clients with offices across Africa is looking for a Management Accountant with strong skills in FP&A for the below position:

We are a fast-growing iGaming operator with an expanding footprint across multiple African markets. With operations in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Uganda, our mission is to provide a cutting-edge betting experience backed by data-led strategy and financial discipline. We are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Management Accountant with strong FP&A experience to support our dynamic finance function and enable strategic decision-making.

Role Overview:

The Management Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the financial health and performance of our regional operations. This position will focus on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with local teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and experience working across multi-entity, multi-currency environments in emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts for all African entities
• Deliver detailed financial forecasts and reforecasts across group operations
• Own the budgeting process: planning, preparation, and variance analysis
• Conduct financial performance reviews with business leaders across regions
• Provide actionable insights into margin trends, cash flow, and cost control
• Develop and maintain robust financial models and dashboards
• Support the automation of reporting processes and financial consolidation
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams for data-driven planning
• Assist with local compliance, tax filings, and regulatory reporting as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• 4+ years of relevant experience in management accounting or FP&A
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Experience working in iGaming, fintech, telco, or fast-paced digital industries is advantageous
• Familiarity with operations across Africa and multi-currency environments
• Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Power BI or other BI tools a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently across time zones

Desirable:

• Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment
• Experience in consolidating accounts across multiple legal entities
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Online)
