Are you a recent university graduate or an ambitious, high-potential individual looking for a challenging and rewarding first step into education or specialist support? Do you want to gain invaluable, transferable experience within a highly professional environment?

We are seeking a driven and intellectually curious Teaching Assistant to join our specialist secondary provision (ages 11-16) in the Redhill/Surrey area. This is an exceptional opportunity to fast-track your professional development in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Why Choose Our Specialist Setting?

Our school is dedicated to supporting young people aged 11-16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex associated needs. We are defined by our commitment to professional excellence and data-driven progress.

  • Professional Environment: Benefit from a robust structure built on small class sizes and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team (including therapists and specialists).

  • Skill Development: Gain direct, hands-on experience in evidence-based interventions for social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.

  • Clear Impact: Our mission is to empower students to transition successfully into further education, training, or employment, making your work directly measurable and significant.

The Role: Building Your Portfolio of Expertise

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering our curriculum and intervention strategies. This role is a dynamic immersion into specialist education:

  • Curriculum Access: Provide direct, high-quality support to help students engage with complex secondary subjects.

  • Strategy Implementation: Assist teachers in executing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and sensory strategies, honing your ability to follow detailed professional guidelines.

  • Behavioural & Social Coaching: Learn and apply sophisticated techniques to support the development of students' social communication and self-regulation skills.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider team, building essential skills in cross-functional professional communication.

We Are Looking For: Future Leaders in Education

  • A degree-level education (or equivalent relevant professional qualification).

  • A proactive, analytical, and highly resilient attitude, ready to learn on the job.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a complex environment.

  • An aspiration to understand and apply specialist knowledge related to Autism and complex needs.
