Trainee Teacher - Full-Time | Cranleigh, Near Dorking, Surrey
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 per annum | Term-Time Only (40 hours/week)
Start Date: September 2025

A specialist independent day school near Cranleigh, Surrey, is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join as Trainee Teachers. The school supports children aged 4-19 with autism and related communication difficulties, offering personalised learning in a well-resourced, nurturing setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with pupils individually and in small groups to support their academic, social, and emotional development

  • Follow structured, evidence-based teaching methods including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists

  • Receive comprehensive training and support to gain qualifications relevant to teaching and special educational needs (SEN)

About You:

  • A genuine interest in education and working with children and young people with special needs

  • Excellent communication, patience, and a positive attitude

  • Minimum of Grade C/4 in English Language and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working with children (in any capacity) is desirable but not essential
