Learning Support Worker

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional support needs, helping them to access the curriculum and fully participate in college life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
• Assist students within classroom settings to promote engagement and independence.
• Support learners with educational, social, emotional, and physical needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement support plans and learning strategies.
• Encourage student confidence, participation, and achievement.
• Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student progress where required.
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young people and/or adults with additional learning needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within an educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications in Education, Health & Social Care, SEND, or Support Work are advantageous but not essential.
