We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our growing team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with previous experience in an accident repair centre environment who is looking to take the next step in their career with a well-established and supportive company.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a thorough understanding of compliance requirements and industry standards within the vehicle repair sector.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop & Team Management
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the workshop to ensure productivity and efficiency targets are achieved.
- Lead, motivate, and support workshop staff to maintain high performance standards.
- Allocate workloads effectively and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Promote a positive working environment focused on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
Customer Service & Complaint Handling
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure repairs are completed to the highest quality standards and customer expectations are met.
- Liaise with customers, insurers, and suppliers where required.
Compliance & Auditing
- Ensure all workshop activities comply with relevant industry regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Support internal and external audits and implement any required corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with quality standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Technical & Administrative Duties
- Oversee repair processes and ensure work is completed to the required specifications.
- Monitor workshop equipment, maintenance schedules, and resource requirements.
- Assist with estimating, job tracking, and workflow planning.
- Complete administrative tasks and reporting accurately and within deadlines.
- Support the management team with operational improvements and process development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working in an accident repair centre or similar automotive workshop environment.
- Proven supervisory or management experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Good understanding of compliance requirements, auditing processes, and industry standards.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to work.
Important Information
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police vetting process before successfully completing their probation period. This process may take several weeks and will run alongside your employment during probation.
