Graduate Teaching Assistant – Hounslow

Finishing your degree but not too sure what to do next? Enjoy working with children and now considering a career in teaching? I am seeking Graduates that are looking to start their teaching career. This Graduate Teaching Assistant route will allow you to work with schools that are committed to offering successful candidates the opportunities to gain classroom experience and be paid at the same time.

Graduate Teaching Assistant Specification

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working with children on a daily basis to guide them in their learning. In order to ensure that good levels of learning are upheld, we are looking for Graduates that will be expecting to achieve a 2:1 or higher within any subject from a UK University.

Any prospective Graduate Teaching Assistant will also have to show a strong understanding of Maths and English at the primary age. This will be demonstrated through attending a recruitment day where you will be able to find out the different routes available to help you gain QTS in order to be a fully qualified teacher.

Successful Graduates will be individuals that can prove their ability to be outgoing, passionate, dynamic and creative. As a Teaching Assistant, you will show a level of adaptability and demonstrate a willingness to work hard.

About the Primary Schools

The schools are well resourced with equipment available for successful Graduate Teaching Assistants to use as part of their role. As each school vary in their available positions, you will be given the opportunity to express a preference in where you would like to work and which Key Stages you are interested in.

As we are working with a number of schools, there are opportunities to be taken on as a Graduate Teaching Assistant before embarking on a Schools Direct programme.
