What are the school looking for?

NQTs and Experienced Year 2 Teacher we need you. I have a fantastic 2 form entry primary school based within the London Borough of Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT who is keen to secure a Year 2 Teacher post this September. For an experienced Year 2 Teacher there would be a generous TLR on offer and that would be discussed at interview.

We are looking for ambitious, dedicated and hard working Year 2 teachers who have the passion and enthusiasm to deliver a creative curriculum for all. The appointed Year 2 teacher would join an Outstanding KS1 Team who continuously have high expectations for all students. You would be working alongside an experienced Year 2 teacher who would double up as an NQT mentor.

About the School

The school is much larger than the average primary school expanding from 2 forms to 3 forms of entry. The school serves an area of significant deprivation and its pupils represent a very wide range of ethnic backgrounds. A number of students speak English as an additional language.

Children love coming to the school. A pupil said ‘The teachers care about us and make our learning fun’. ‘I love learning, the teachers make it fun and interesting and it makes me want to succeed’

Results have risen year on year with 2015 seeing the school’s best results with 86% of children achieving Level 4 in Maths, Reading, Writing and SPAG beating the National Average within England (80%).

The school is graded as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED and they hope to keep that status by offering the very best teaching and learning.

The school is based within the London Borough of Hackney, East London. The closest station is Clapton so is accessible from the Boroughs of Waltham Forest, Hackney, Haringey and Enfield or anyone who is travelling from Central London.
