Job Description

Key Responsibilities
As a Class Teacher with SEND Responsibilities, your daily duties will include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
Acting as the SENCO for mainstream children, leading on SEND provision and strategies
Collaborating effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to support pupils’ progress
Using assessment data to identify needs and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
Promoting an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and confident to succeed
Leading the development and evaluation of SEND strategies across the school

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Class Teacher with SEND Responsibilities, you will need:

An appropriate SENCO qualification
Proven experience in mainstream teaching with a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting wellbeing for all pupils
