Dovetail Recruitment are proud to be working with a local business that is looking for a Media Sales Executive to join their team in Ferndown. We have personally met with this client, and what is clear is how passionate they are about their business and the local area. They are looking to welcome someone into their small but friendly team to support the next stage of the company’s long-term growth.

We are looking for someone like- minded who not only enjoys sales, relationship building, and account management, but who genuinely cares about the Dorset community. This is a role where you’ll enjoy the buzz of sales while being rewarded not only through commission, but also through genuine job satisfaction. You’ll be the person who is “in the know” about what’s happening across Dorset and play a key role in helping local businesses promote themselves effectively.

You will inherit an established client base, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to earn commission from day one. You’ll also be supported by the wider team, including a dedicated Pre-Press Administrator, allowing you to focus on building relationships, developing accounts, and maximising your earning potential.

Full in-house coaching and training is provided, alongside specialist external media sales training, ensuring you have all the tools and support needed to succeed. Applications are welcomed from candidates at all levels of experience, and part-time hours may be considered for the right person.

• Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9.00am – 4.30pm, with a 4.00pm finish on Fridays

Duties and Responsibilities

• Selling media coverage space within high-quality, well-known local magazines and programmes
• Creating and securing sponsorship packages that deliver genuine value for clients
• Promoting digital advertising and social media marketing solutions
• Building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing advertisers
• Identifying new revenue opportunities and proactively growing client accounts
• Managing and developing an established portfolio of customers

Skills and Experience Required

• A confident communicator with a natural flair for sales
• Previous experience within a sales, account management, or business development role
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working towards targets
• An understanding of how print and digital advertising solutions work together
• A genuine interest in building long-term business relationships
