Salary: £55.00ph PAYE / £74.26ph umbrella Inside IR35

BI Developer / Data Engineer

We're seeking an experienced BI Developer / Data Engineer to join a growing data and analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex business data into meaningful insights through reporting, dashboards, and data visualisation.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, build data solutions, and deliver high-quality analytics that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI reports and dashboards.
• Build and support data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop reporting solutions using Cognos Analytics and Tableau.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements.
• Analyse and transform data from multiple sources.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Support and enhance existing BI solutions.
• Produce meaningful insights and KPI reporting to support operational and strategic decisions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Experience developing dashboards and visualisations using Tableau.
• Knowledge of SQL and data extraction techniques.
• Experience with data modelling and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working within a Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Data Analytics environment.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of additional BI tools such as Power BI.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.
