Caretaker

We are currently recruiting a Caretaker for our client based in Camden. The purpose of the Caretaker role is to maintain and oversee the day-to-day operation, cleanliness, security, and basic upkeep of a property or facility.

Key Responsibilities for the Caretaker:

Open and close buildings as required.
Carry out routine inspections of premises and grounds.
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs.
Ensure cleanliness of communal areas and outdoor spaces.
Monitor security systems and report suspicious activity.
Arrange or supervise contractors for larger maintenance work.
Handle waste disposal and recycling.
Maintain health and safety standards.
Respond to emergencies such as leaks, alarms, or equipment failures.
Keep records of maintenance activities and repairs.
To maintain store inventories and arrange orderly and secure storage supplies.
Assisting with the receipt, distribution, collection and despatch of goods, and a register of tools and equipment kept clean.
Qualifications of the Caretaker role:

Basic maintenance and repair skills.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Physical fitness for manual tasks.
