About the role
We are seeking a Senior Technician – Traffic Signals Installation and Maintenance to join the Traffic Signals and UTMC Team, undertaking the maintenance, fault repair and installation of traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) across County Durham.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
In this role, you will support the Senior Traffic Signals Maintenance Engineer in carrying out inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs, as well as the installation and commissioning of traffic signal and intelligent transport equipment.
You will play a key role in ensuring traffic signal assets operate safely, efficiently and effectively across the county’s highway network, helping to maintain network performance and support road user safety.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
A Level 3 Electrical qualification, ONC in electrical engineering, or be working towards an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience of electrical installation and or maintenance work.
A commitment to safe working practices and high-quality service delivery.
