We’re currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a our welcoming schools in Salford. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to students who require additional behavioural or emotional support.

Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to improve engagement, attendance and confidence.

Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and those displaying challenging behaviour.

Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and SENCOs to implement behaviour support strategies.

Promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop emotional regulation and resilience.

Monitoring student progress, recording interventions and providing regular feedback to school staff.
Requirements or Skills:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support setting.

Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
-
A calm, patient and resilient approach when supporting pupils with additional needs.
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-
Experience supporting students with SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD or challenging behaviour is desirable.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
