Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will include:

Supporting teachers in delivering the national curriculum across the primary phase.
Assisting in the planning, resource management, and assessment of pupils’ progress.
Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND, EAL, or those who are underachieving, encouraging independence and inclusion.
Contributing to the development of school policies and supporting the wider school community.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Demonstrable levels of numeracy and literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) or NVQ Level 3.
Recent training in relevant learning strategies, such as English Friendly.
Experience working with children in a primary setting.
Mandatory compliance with safeguarding policies, including an Enhanced DBS Check.
A positive, approachable manner with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
