About the role
SEND Tutor - English & Maths (Year 8) | NE9 6JR | £30 Per Hour
Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking an experienced SEND Tutor to support a Year 8 learner in the NE9 area.
The Role
- Deliver 1:1 English and Maths tuition
- Approximately 2 hours per day
- Face-to-face tuition
- £30 per hour
Learner Profile
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
- High anxiety
- Awaiting ASD assessment
- Low school attendance history
- Requires a patient, nurturing, and relationship-focused tutor
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' SEND experience
- Strong English and Maths knowledge
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs and barriers to education
- Ability to build positive relationships and re-engage learners with learning
