About the role

The Deans Primary School is a large, mainstream Primary School that has recently added two Enhanced Resourced Provisions for pupils with ASD / Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The academy is part of Kings Academy Trust and is committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive and personalised education for all learners.

We have high aspirations for our children and young people and aim to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that supports individual, personal and academic achievement. Our goal is to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to learn, develop and succeed, preparing them for the next stage of their education journey, and enabling them to have amazing experiences and enrichment whatever their age or ability.

In our resourced provisions, we believe that strong, positive relationships and a safe, nurturing environment are fundamental to pupil success. We are committed to supporting pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing as the foundation for learning, fostering confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. Through a personalised approach, we aim to meet each pupil’s individual needs while promoting enjoyment, engagement and achievement for all.

As a Teaching Assistant Level 3 working in The Meadows, our Key Stage 2 Enhanced Resourced Provision, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. Working under the direction of teaching and senior staff, you will:

Support access to learning across a broad and adapted curriculum

Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and occasionally whole classes

Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning and develop independence

Contribute to a consistent, trauma-informed and relational approach to behaviour and engagement

Help prepare pupils for successful transition into adulthood and greater independence

This role requires flexibility, resilience and a strong commitment to inclusion, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. If you require any further information on the role then please contact our school office ([phone removed]) or email [email removed]. All applications for the position should be made via My New Term.

Kings Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and online search, and other relevant employment checks. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
