About the role

We're looking for a Data Officer to join our team at The Hyndburn Academy. Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience or interest in school data?

This role works as part of a wider administrative team, providing high-quality support for the day-to-day operations of the school. You'll work closely with curriculum teams, leadership and external organisations to help maintain the highest standards of data integrity, regulatory compliance and learner support, making a real difference to the success of our provision.

The Data Officer will report into the Cluster Data Manager and work with colleagues at Accrington Academy and Marsden Heights Community College.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and maintain the school's Management Information System (MIS)
  • Ensure pupil data is accurate, up to date, and compliant
  • Produce reports and analyse data for senior leaders
  • Support attendance, admissions, and census returns
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth running of data processes

The successful candidate must:

  • Have excellent IT, organisational, and communication skills
  • Have a high attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information
  • Have a proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Someone who shares our moral purpose of ensuring that all of our young people receive the best education possible in a supportive environment from people who care about them.
  • Someone who has excellent organisational skills and knowledge of different ICT packages available.

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual who takes pride in delivering an excellent service, can manage multiple priorities effectively and maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be committed to helping every child fulfil their potential and to bringing out ‘the best in everyone’ and playing an active role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

Why join us?

    • A diverse, hands-on role at the centre of a dynamic and busy school
    • The opportunity to collaborate closely with staff and pupils across the wider school community
    • A supportive team environment with a clear sense of shared purpose
    • The chance to make a meaningful and visible contribution to the day-to-day operation of the school

We are committed to ensuring our employees feel valued, supported and rewarded. As part of United Learning, we offer opportunities and a benefits package beyond that of an individual school.

We’re proud to offer ‘more pay, more time, and more support’. We offer the best pay in the sector, three extra INSET days dedicated to planning and professional development, one paid personal leave day each year during term time.

We place a high priority on developing our staff. Every employee benefits from a supportive annual review process with a tailored programme of personal development. We are committed to supporting your wellbeing.
