About the Role

We’re looking for an organised, proactive Logistics Specialist to join our Central Logistics team at Hilmore House. In this key role, you’ll report directly to the Senior Logistics Manager, Central, taking responsibility for the planning and communication of all key ambient events.

You’ll oversee seasonal events and day-to-day logistics activity to ensure the end-to-end inbound and outbound network runs smoothly, protecting product availability in our stores while keeping costs to a minimum. By coordinating communication between central teams and operational sites, managing key projects, and removing wasted effort, you’ll play a critical part in delivering a brilliant customer experience.

  • Plan and deliver communications and governance for key Ambient events and day-to-day inbound to outbound operations.
  • Manage communications between central teams and operational sites, issuing weekly logistics bulletins and urgent operational updates.
  • Lead key Ambient logistics projects (such as site line movements and store openings), engaging senior stakeholders to maintain buy-in and project delivery.
  • Manage relationships across Logistics, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure inbound goods adhere to business guidelines and schedules.
  • Track project deliverables, map processes, and mitigate risks, conflicts, and operational issues.
  • Review end-to-end Ambient processes to identify efficiency opportunities and remove wasted effort across the supply chain.
  • Maintain quality and business rule adherence across Ambient logistics operations.

Key Relationships

You’ll work closely with:

  • Central Logistics Team
  • Logistics Site Leadership (Site Managers and Team Managers)
  • Operations Teams
  • Commercial Planning Teams
  • Supply Chain Teams

About You You’ll be a resilient, solution-focused logistics professional with strong communication and project planning capabilities.

You’ll have:

  • Strong knowledge of diverse logistics operations, supporting supply chain functions, and end-to-end logistics processes.
  • Proven track record in project planning, process mapping, and tracking deliverables to plan.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams under resource constraints.
  • High level of personal accountability, ownership, and a strong customer-first approach

In return for all your hard work, you will receive:

  • 15% discount in store from the day you join us
  • Additional 10% discount card for a friend or family member
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • Career progression and development opportunities
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Market leading pension scheme and life assurance
  • Healthcare benefits including Aviva Digital GP
  • ‘MyPerks’ giving you discount with over 850 retailers
  • Free parking onsite
  • Enhanced Family, Maternity and Paternity Leave
  • Private Healthcare

Alive with activity, our modern Head Office is home to our corporate teams that make sure everything runs smoothly. Here, you’ll find comfy breakout areas, a coffee shop, Morrisons Daily and a subsidised restaurant. We are within commuting distance of Leeds, Manchester and the Yorkshire Dales - and we even have free parking!

At our Head Office you will expect to find supplier showcases, charity fundraising and celebrations all year round for the events that mean the most to our colleagues.

There’s more to our business as it’s fast paced and ever changing, as such we’ve got lots of Ambient opportunities for you to play your part in our success. We’d love to meet you!

At Morrisons, we’re proud to be building a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We want every colleague to feel respected, supported and able to be themselves at work.
