FLT Counterbalance Driver / Van Driver – Broxburn

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver / Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Broxburn.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and a varied role combining warehouse and driving duties. This role would suit candidates with experience as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, Counterbalance Forklift Driver, FLT Operator, Warehouse Operative, Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or Multi-Skilled Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 06:00 – 14:00

Rates of Pay

 • £14.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver / Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Operating a Counterbalance FLT to load, unload, and move stock safely throughout the warehouse
 • Loading and unloading HGV vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT
 • Carrying out stock movements and supporting general warehouse operations
 • Completing local van deliveries and collections during the afternoon
 • Loading and unloading the van safely and efficiently
 • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork
 • Ensuring goods are transported safely and delivered on time
 • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
 • Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
 • A full UK Category B Driving Licence
 • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
 • Good communication and customer service skills
 • Reliability and excellent timekeeping
 • Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling duties when required
 • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience working in a combined warehouse and van driving role would be advantageous

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
