Yard Operative – Walsall

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our well-established client based in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity offering £12.71 per hour, Monday to Friday working hours, no weekend work, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and ongoing training with a well-established employer.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, General Operative, Yard Assistant, Labourer, Loading Operative, or Production Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday – Friday
 • 08:00 – 16:30

Rates of Pay

 • £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Yard Operative, your duties will include:

 • Loading and unloading vehicles by hand (unless authorised and licensed to operate a company forklift truck)
 • Sorting stock and transporting materials to designated storage areas
 • Ensuring stock is clean and prepared for client use
 • Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times
 • Assisting customers and answering general enquiries
 • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by the company

Essential Skills

As a Yard Operative, you will need:

 • A basic level of English
 • A reliable and punctual attitude
 • Good communication skills
 • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • A willingness to learn and undertake a variety of yard and warehouse duties

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience as a Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative, General Operative, Labourer, or a similar role would be beneficial; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
