Yard Operative

Yard and Packing Operative – Need to have own transport due to location

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Yard & Packing Operatives to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering grea rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Yard Worker, Yard Labourer or Logistics Yard Operative.

Shifts: Monday to Friday: 7.00am – 4.00pm (overtime available for Saturday)

Pay rate: £12.80 – £19.20 per hour 

Key responsibilities:

• Operate production and packing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Check products, weights, bags and labelling for accuracy.
• Follow production instructions and quality control procedures.
• Take and store product samples correctly.
• Report any quality, weight or production issues immediately.
• Help prevent contamination by keeping equipment and work areas clean.
• Safely handle materials using forklifts/loading shovels where required.
• Follow all site safety procedures and safe systems of work.

We’re looking for people who are:

• Reliable
• Safety-conscious
• Hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Previous production, warehouse, forklift or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

Site Housekeeping

Assist the Site or Assistant Site Manager with general housekeeping duties to ensure:

• Site surfaces are kept clean and free from rubbish.
• Lorries are checked for leaks and drains remain clear.
• Fence lines are free from litter.
• Skips are emptied when required.
• Empty pallets are kept to a minimum and stored safely in the designated area.
• Sheets are folded and stored appropriately.

Training 

• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
