People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our well-established client based in Ossett, West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, LGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, Category C HIAB Driver, HIAB Driver, Lorry Loader Driver, or Class 2 Crane Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 07:00 – 17:00

Rates of Pay

 • £16.00 – £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently on Monday to Friday shifts
 • Completing deliveries to stores and customer sites across the UK
 • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure throughout transit
 • Delivering cables using HIAB equipment
 • Operating HIAB equipment safely and efficiently
 • Completing all required paperwork accurately
 • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects in line with company procedures
 • Providing excellent customer service at all delivery locations

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will need:

 • Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles
 • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
 • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
 • HIAB ALLMI Licence
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsements)
 • No major endorsement codes
 • Good communication skills and a professional manner
 • A reliable and flexible approach to work

Desirable Experience

 • Multi-drop delivery experience
 • Previous HIAB delivery experience
 • Experience delivering building products, cables, or similar materials

Training Provided

 • First-day driving assessment
 • Training provided as and when required
 • Ongoing industry-related training and support throughout your assignment
