HGV Class 2 Driver – Rochdale – NEW PASS HGV DRIVERS WELCOME!

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers in Rochdale.

This is an excellent opportunity to start or continue your driving career with a business that offers full training, excellent rates of pay, and ongoing support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both new pass and experienced drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £14.00 per hour – New Pass Driver
• £16.00 per hour – Experienced Driver

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00 and 08:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will work:

• Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Delivering products depot to depot
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers, and site staff

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Licence
• A valid UK CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD codes)
• A reliable, professional, and punctual approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A good understanding of road safety and compliance
• The ability to work with a Driver’s Mate to complete multi-drop deliveries

Training:

• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
