HGV Class 2 Driver – ONGOING WORK – IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE – REGULAR ROUTES – NO HANDBALL- NO WEEKENDS

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Start times: 05:00 / 06:00

Rates of Pay:

• £16.00 per hour – Monday to Friday basic
• £19.50 per hour – Overtime after 9 hours

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Class 2 Multi-drop deliveries. 4-8 Drops per day.
• No handball involved – Curtain side with FLT Tipping at Location.
• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:  

• Valid UK Category C / Class 2 driving licence
• Minimum 12 month’s Class 2 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles

Training Provided

  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout.
