HGV Class 2 Driver – New Passes Welcome – £16.62PH

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cheltenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.62 per hour, Monday to Friday shifts, weekly pay, ongoing work, immediate starts, full training and genuine career progression. New passes are encouraged to apply.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Truck Driver.

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:

 • Safely operating a Category C (Class 2) vehicle to customer delivery locations
 • Completing multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently
 • Loading and unloading vehicles accurately and securely
 • Working alongside a Driver’s Mate to complete daily delivery schedules
 • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly
 • Completing delivery paperwork accurately and on time
 • Providing excellent customer service during every delivery
 • Adhering to Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and all road traffic legislation
 • Following all company health and safety procedures at all times
 • Some handball will be required as part of this role

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will have:

 • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
 • A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
 • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements)
 • Excellent communication and customer service skills
 • A professional, reliable and punctual approach to work
 • A good understanding of transport legislation and road safety compliance
 • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is advantageous; however, newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
 • Multi-drop delivery experience
 • Experience handling large or bulky goods
 • Customer-facing delivery experience

 • Full industry-related training provided
 • Ongoing support throughout your assignment
