The role includes encouraging children’s independence and self-esteem, supporting personal care routines such as feeding, toileting and hygiene, preparing learning resources, and building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues. Apprentices will also learn about safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, inclusion and supporting children with different needs, while helping to maintain a clean and welcoming nursery environment.
