Your mission

Looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge, learn, and grow your career? Join Hiab! We offer a 1.5-year contract in a friendly, supportive environment. This is a great chance to gain practical experience and see firsthand how a major international manufacturing company operates.

As a Junior Accountant, you will handle a broad scope of tasks that will accelerate your professional growth. Your primary focus will be end-to-end document processing - handling a diverse range of invoices (especially cost invoices across various tax rates) and company expenses, as well as managing business travel expenses and employee expense settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Posting, coding, and verifying diverse invoices and operating the ERP and electronic document flow systems.
• Settling business travel expenses, company expenditures, and employee settlements.
• Monitoring accounts payable, tracking payments, and resolving balance discrepancies with vendors.
• Supporting the Chief Accountant with reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger and assisting during inventory counts.
• Preparing routine accounting analyses and reports, including monitoring the status of unposted invoices.
• Archiving documentation and collaborating with other departments to maintain efficient document workflow.

What we are looking for

• Minimum secondary education (a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is an advantage).
• Around 1 year of introductory accounting experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office.
• Communicative English skills (both written and spoken).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, dependability, and an eagerness to learn.
