Nursery Teacher

We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Bury area from January 2027 until the summer holidays.

This is a full-time opportunity for a confident Early Years professional to lead the school’s Nursery provision for children aged 2–3.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences, supporting children’s early development and leading a team of Early Years staff within a busy Nursery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Lead and support a team of Nursery and Early Years staff.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the Nursery provision.
Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Monitor children’s progress and support their individual learning and development needs.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
Ensure high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous teaching experience within Nursery or Early Years.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
Experience leading or supervising staff within an Early Years setting.
Confidence managing a busy Nursery environment.
Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
