Senior Practitioner

Oxfordshire County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Children’s Social Worker to join our children’s social care team. The role involves working with vulnerable children and families to assess needs, manage risk, and promote positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and interventions: Undertake child-centred assessments and develop care plans to support children and families.

• Manage casework effectively: Work closely with children, families, and partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes.

• Participate in safeguarding processes: Attend child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings as necessary.

• Maintain clear and timely records: Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
