Laboratory Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role:
As a Laboratory Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship. (Leatherhead)

Key duties include:
Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision
Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing
Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records
Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
Following health & safety procedures and quality standards

Apprenticeship details:
Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship
Combination of on‑the‑job training and off‑the‑job learning
Full training and support provided
No previous laboratory experience required

What we’re looking for:
An interest in science and laboratory work
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Basic IT skills
GCSEs (or predicted grades), particularly Maths and Science, are desirable but not essential
