The Best Connection Group Ltd are recruiting for a Transport Planner / Transport Administrator to join a busy transport operation.

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive individual who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced transport environment. The ideal candidate will be confident dealing with HGV drivers, responding to requests, and allocating work in line with daily transport plans.

Good communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently are essential.

Pay & Working Hours

• Pay rate: £13.94 per hour
• Working days: Monday- Friday
• Hours: 06:00-15:00
• Flexibility: Must be able to work until 17:00 when required
• Overtime rate: £20.91 per hour (1.5 times the standard hourly rate) after 8 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal with HGV driver requests and provide clear, concise instructions.
• Allocate work in accordance with transport plans and operational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively as part of a busy transport team.
• Carry out basic computer and administrative tasks.
• Adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working in a busy transport environment is desirable.
• An understanding of HGV driver requirements and transport allocation is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
