Nursery Practitioner

Are you an experienced Nursery Practitioner looking for a rewarding full-time role in a supportive early years setting? Zest Education is currently working with a welcoming nursery in the Hillfields area of Coventry that is seeking a dedicated and reliable Nursery Practitioner to join its team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years professional who enjoys helping young children learn, grow, and develop. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning through engaging activities and structured play. Furthermore, you will help create a positive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. In addition, you will work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child’s individual development. As a result, you will contribute to giving children the best possible start to their educational journey.

The Role

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
• Help deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Promote children’s social, emotional, and communication skills
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment at all times
• Support daily routines, including mealtimes and outdoor learning
• Encourage children’s confidence, independence, and curiosity

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working within a nursery setting is essential
• A relevant Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential
• Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework
• A reliable, punctual, and professional approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, enthusiastic, and patient nature
• A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
