Software Test Engineer

Software Test Engineer Location – Hertfordshire, 3-4 days per week. Salary – Up to £50,000 DoE.   Copello are working within a leading defence business and are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to work on advanced simulation systems for defense applications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-stakes projects that require precision, innovation, and dedication. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute software and systems testing activities. Develop test plans, test specifications and validation strategies. Investigate software issues and support fault finding activities. Analyse system data and logs to identify defects and verify performance. Support integration, demonstrations and customer trials. Produce clear technical reports and communicate progress to project stakeholders. Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout development and delivery. Skills & Experience Experience in software testing, systems integration or verification & validation (V&V). Python scripting experience. Knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA or similar development environments. Experience analysing software logs and system data. ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing experience is desirable. To apply, please email [email removed]
