UK Finance Manager

Marc Daniels are recruiting for an experienced and commercially focused UK Finance Manager to join a successful manufacturing business based in Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a broad finance function, combining strong financial control with commercial business partnering. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, improving profitability and supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end reporting, management accounts and financial controls.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.

• Manage statutory reporting, audit and financial compliance.

• Oversee manufacturing finance, including product costing, inventory management and margin analysis.

• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability and support strategic decisions.

• Manage cash flow, working capital and credit control.

• Lead and develop a small finance team.

• Drive improvements in financial reporting, systems and processes.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.

• Previous finance experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar position.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge alongside commercial and analytical capabilities.

• Experience of manufacturing costing, stock management and profitability analysis.

• Ideally experienced within an SME or multi-site business environment.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and influence business decisions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
