An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and passionate English Teacher to join a thriving English Department within a specialist SEN education setting.

You will work with learners from Year 7 to Year 11, delivering engaging, accessible English lessons that spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students develop their voice through language and literature.

This is a role for someone who believes in the power of words to open doors, change perspectives, and make a real difference to young people’s lives.

What you’ll be doing

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned to the national curriculum
• Supporting learners with a range of SEN and additional needs
• Creating accessible and inspiring learning experiences in language and literature
• Building confidence in reading, writing, and communication skills
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve outcomes and share best practice
• Maintaining high expectations for all learners

What we’re looking for

• Ability to make English engaging, accessible, and relevant
• Experience or strong interest in supporting SEN learners
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
• Commitment to high standards for both teaching and learning
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
