About the role

Join us as a Part Time Floating Support Worker, providing tenancy and substance use support to vulnerable adults across the Doncaster area!

This role involves providing tenancy support to individuals affected by substance use, helping them maintain independence and sustain tenancies.

You will work from our office base and travel across the Doncaster area, supporting a caseload of around 10 customers.

Location: Garnham House, 4 Greenfield Lane, Balby, Doncaster DN5 8LH

Salary:£13.62/hr

Hours: 18.75 per week, Mon–Fri (08:00–18:00)

Duration: 8 weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one tenancy support, including budgeting, benefits advice, and housing paperwork.
  • Co-produce tailored support plans and monitor progress.
  • Signpost and liaise with external agencies (health, social care, employment).
  • Promote client well-being, life skills, and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and outcome reports.
  • Work safely in line with safeguarding and lone-working protocols.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for travel across Doncaster).
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults in the community.
  • Strong communication, case-management, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications or experience in Housing, Mental Health, Substance Misuse, or related fields.
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care and psychologically informed approaches.
