Help Build the Next Generation of AI for Commercial Insurance

Are you an exceptional Business Analyst looking for the opportunity to shape an AI-driven product from an early stage?

Our client is an exciting UK Insurtech start-up developing innovative AI technology for the Commercial Insurance market. Whilst enjoying the pace, innovation and influence that comes with a growing business, you’ll also benefit from the security and long-term investment of a highly successful European Insurance Group.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an exciting stage of growth, where your ideas will genuinely influence the direction of the product and the business.

The Role

Working closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders, you’ll translate complex business challenges into innovative software solutions that deliver real value to Commercial Insurance Brokers.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll be encouraged to challenge thinking, solve difficult problems and take ownership of delivery rather than simply gathering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis across new product development initiatives.
  • Own and manage product backlogs alongside Product Management.
  • Gather, analyse and document complex business requirements.
  • Produce high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Help shape the future direction of an innovative AI platform.

About You

You’ll be an articulate, engaging and naturally collaborative Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex problems and building strong working relationships.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an Insurtech environment (c7 years post degree ideal)
  • Experience working with B2B software products serving Commercial, Specialty or Financial Lines Insurance markets.
  • Strong backlog management and Agile delivery experience.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach, excellent judgement and the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Experience working successfully within a remote-first environment, with excellent self-management skills.
  • A strong academic or technical degree (2.1 min)

Experience within Cyber Insurance, Directors’ & Officers’ (D&O) or Accident & Health (A&H) products would be particularly attractive but is by no means essential.

Why Join?

  • Play a key role in developing cutting-edge AI technology.
  • Join a well-funded, ambitious Insurtech with exciting growth plans.
  • Enjoy genuine influence over product development.
  • Work alongside highly talented, motivated colleagues.
  • Excellent long-term career progression.
  • Remote-first culture.

If you’re looking for an opportunity where your ideas will shape the future of an AI product rather than maintaining an established platform, we’d love to hear from you.
